Wedding at The Factory Events in Cincinnati

Intimate weddings are all the rage for 2020 and this wedding at The Factory Events was the perfect example of how intimate weddings should be. Despite the many changes of plans, Jordan and Emily’s wedding day was perfect in every single way. Since the wedding was at The Factory Events in the outdoor courtyard, Emily only wanted to enhance the beauty that was already there in the gardens. We decided to do a plant ceremony installation! Instead of a floral arch, I bought potted plants to frame the happy couple. To add some dimension, I purchased several colored pots as well as wooden bud vases. All though these details may seem small, it added depth to the installation and gave it interest.

For the actual floral arrangements, Emily wanted all the texture. This gets me excited as a florist since I hardly get to go all out with texture! I purchased Snowberry, Astrantia, Lace Cap Hydrangea, and Calycina. These blooms really gave each arrangement the texture and interest that the bride wanted. To soften it up sightly and to give each arrangement height I added Butterfly Ranunculus, Majolica Spray Roses, and Ranunculus. The flow-y cream ribbon on the bouquet was the perfect touch to add that balance.

I partnered with Samantha Joy Events to make sure the tables at the reception were along aesthetic lines. I saw green and purple tomatoes at the wholesale and knew I wanted to use them somehow for this event. Samantha and I placed them along the table in between the grey candles and centerpieces. The tomatoes added a sense of texture without it being too overwhelming. It also was extremely unique. What wedding has purple tomatoes on the tables?!

Although this wedding was small, it was my favorite intimate wedding of 2020. Jordan and Emily were rays of light during the dark cloud of the pandemic and I’m so blessed I got to have them as clients. I know they are living a happily ever after and I wish them all the best.
