Louisville, Kentucky Wedding
We loved designing flowers for Nate and Lauren’s intimate Louisville, Kentucky wedding. In our first conversation, I learned that there would be less than 20 people at their wedding. Nate and Lauren had started out with originally invited over 250 guests. They soon realized that the most important part of getting married was being taken over by other details. Catering, budget, logistics.. Elements that are so important for weddings. Nate and Lauren decided they wanted to go without and have a small and intimate wedding.
Since there were about 15 people invited, the couple only needed two centerpieces for their tables. For the ceremony, they asked for urns so that those arrangements could also be reused. Her bouquet and his boutonniere were the final floral elements for their wedding. No installations and no wedding party. It seemed odd at the beginning, but I think when you scroll through their photos you will find that it was perfect.
My favorite arrangements were the entrance urns. Those lush peonies and overflowing southern smilax created a unique and stunning design. Entrance urns are a great element to add for your ceremony that can easily be reused for your reception. We highly recommend them!
Lauren owns a floral truck in Louisville called Fleur & Frond in Louisville, Kentucky. It’s a build your own bouquet truck that travels around the Louisville area. It was a bit intimidating to flower for someone who also works professionally with flowers. I was honored that she wanted me to design her wedding day arrangements.
