“Many brides and clients ask, “Why would I hire a planner?” Most of our clients have never planned a wedding before. Yes, it is something you can do on your own; however, taking on the wedding planner role could actually end up costing you more money, time, effort, and maybe even your sanity. A great wedding planner is not just a resource for finding vendors, although we will help you do that. A great wedding planner is a person that you trust to come along side you as a couple to help you navigate the wild adventure of engagement. Your wedding planner is there to eliminate the stress of the unknown and uncover the joy of celebrating your new life together. And as he or she grows to understand your vision for your wedding, will assemble a team of vendors to execute your vision flawlessly, stepping in to handle any potential missteps so you never have to think or worry about it. From knowing what makes a good DJ, to what do to do if it is snowing on the day of your event, an experienced planner or coordinator brings wisdom, resourcefulness, and calm efficiency to situations that could be overwhelming otherwise.
What is the most important thing to consider when hiring a planner? We believe the most important factor is to make sure the planner is a good fit for you. Each planner has a unique personality and way of doing business. We love our couples and they love us. We are purposeful in who we work with because we want to enjoy the process with you! There are a lot of good planners out there, but not every planner is the right fit for you.
Best piece of wedding planning advice – Don’t skip the premarital counseling! Even if you’ve been together for years, good premarital counseling can help you navigate some sticky subjects and will facilitate good, healthy conversations to get your marriage started off on the right foot!
What is the most important thing you should know about Turning Point Events? I love what I do! I never take it for granted when someone chooses to work with us because I know what a big deal it is to trust someone else to execute your day for you. I have been a bride and a mother of the bride so I have experience and understanding from many different angles.
