Why You Should Reuse Your Ceremony Flowers

Although your wedding ceremony is the most important part of your wedding day, it is often the shortest. The average wedding ceremony is 10-30 minutes long. Past wedding couples have spent $$$ on the ceremony flowers for their wedding. It makes for a fantastic view walking down the aisle, but I can’t help think what a waste it can be. Throughout my years in business I have picked up a trick or two to help my couples get the most out of their flowers for their wedding day.

Reusing your ceremony flowers will allow you to save money and admire the beautiful flowers longer. There are several options that we can do to reuse your ceremony wedding flowers.

Aisle Decor

Aisle decor can really amp up your ceremony. Ceremonies are often taking place in churches, barren reception halls, or in grass. Each of these places can be beautiful in its own way, but flowers can really allow a transformation. I have seen just how impactful aisle decor florals can really be. Even though in my opinion the transformation is worth it, we also want to make sure we are staying within our couples budgets. There are several ways we can dress up your aisle and then reuse that same decor for your reception.

  • Garlands

I absolutely love greenery and think garlands down an aisle is absolutely stunning. Throw in some candles and you are golden. Place garlands down your aisle and then reuse them for your farmhouse or head tables. They can also be placed on your sign in or gift table, I’ve even had brides put them on the bar.

  • Floral arrangements

Whether creating deliberate centerpieces or making more of a floral garland, these arrangements really can take a ceremony from flat to wow. Again, reusing these arrangements on your tables, in front of a head table, or at another significant area of the reception will allow you to have the ceremony of your dreams and save the big bucks.

  • Candles

I’ve had quite a few brides just use candles for their aisle decor. You would be surprised just how transformative candles can be. They provide ambiance and romance. Candles are the most cost efficient aisle decor option and again can be moved and placed on the tables after the wedding ceremony takes place.

  • Entrance Urns

Some brides prefer more of a grand entrance at the start of the aisle instead of through out. Entrance Urns are the easiest arrangements to reuse. Just pick up the urn and go! Most couples reuse their entrance urns at the doors of the reception or on either side of the Buffet or head table.

Ceremony Installation

Wedding ceremony installations are the most requested items I get as a wedding florist. Designing installations are my favorite arrangements to create. They provide such a lasting effect and look amazing in photos. Although every single one of my brides desire a ceremony installation, they often forget the $$$ that comes with it. Installs take time, supplies, and a whole lotta flowers to come to life. Luckily, there are ways you can still have your ceremony installation and get the most out of your dollar.

  • Move it

This option depends on the scale and mechanics that will be used, but it has been done the past. If your ceremony and reception locations are in two different places, a quick tear down and rebuild is possible to ensure you are getting the most out of your investment. The ceremony installation usually get reused as a photo booth backdrop at the reception.

  • Make a moment of it

I have had quite of few of my couples place their cake table, bar cart, or DJ in front of the ceremony installation. There are usually the perfect size to fit within the frame and again, they provide a great backdrop.

  • Place your head table in front of it

If your reception will take place in the same location at your ceremony, place your head table right in front of your ceremony arch. It will provide a great backdrop for you and it frames the bride and groom nicely.

The end result far exceeded anything we could have hoped for or imagined. ALL. THE. GREENERY. Future brides, run, don't walk to Roots for your wedding. FROM START TO FINISH, SHE TOOK CARE OF EVERY SINGLE FLORAL NEED.

"Kaytee became so much more than a vendor for us. The first time I met her I felt as though I met a long lost friend. She was the very first vendor I chose for the wedding (even before the venue) and she lived up to all my expectations and went above and beyond.  Each time I met with her I felt confident that she completely comprehended my wants and would fashion them into something that looks put together, yet natural. The day-of she silently transformed a bland rustic space into an enchanting, romantic barn. I couldn't have asked for anything more beautiful or unique."

"Kaytee was so great to work with!!! I provided her with some floral inspirations from Pinterest and Instagram but gave her a lot of free rein coming up with the flowers for our wedding and she went above and beyond expectations. Our photographer was obsessed with all the bouquets and we got so many great pictures of them! She did such a good job making my smaller budget work to make high impact arrangements. She's also the sweetest person to be around!"
