Community Over Competition|Gathering of Florists
Community over competition has a special place in my heart. Running your own business is exhausting and stressful. Add in perishable and ever changing product and the stress only increases. Luckily, we florists happen to love that particular perishable product and we are so grateful we get to design flower arrangements for bride and grooms who are in love.
Community allows us to lean on one another when times are rough. It allows us to vent and seek advice. Community helps us grow and enhance our skills and mechanics. Without my flower friends, I’m not sure where I would be in my business. Some of them are my closest friends in the world and I’m so thankful I have them to lean on. Not everyone approves of community over competition, and I feel sad for them. Truly, this community has made me and my business better.
Myself along with other florists in Ohio and Kentucky, got together and flowered together. Just for fun! It was so relaxing to create whist catching up after a long and busy wedding season. Very grateful to North Light Creative Studio for allowing us to design in the space and also for Jenna Powers Photography, Lauren W Photography, Function and Flourish, and Veritas Studios for photographing this event!
