Wedding Tips | Research Your Calligrapher
Booking season is in full swing and newly engaged couples are looking left and right to find their perfect vendors for their wedding day. It is easy, while researching, to come across several vendors who specialize in what you are looking for. Your biggest mistake, however, may be sending out an inquiry to each one and going from there. Why would this be a mistake? It seems like that would be the easiest route to go. Let me share some wedding tips that will help you save but you and your wedding vendor loads of time.
Most brides in the Kentucky and Ohio states are researching and booking their wedding vendors about a year in advance. This means that most wedding creatives are extremely busy. They are not only designing for current brides, but booking future brides for the upcoming years. Couples are finding that their desired wedding vendors are taking on less and less clients each year in order to handle both wedding and booking season at the same time.
One way to cut the line, so to speak, and make sure you book your favorite vendor is to find out all the information you can before you inquire. How much does this creative charge? What is the average cost to hire this type of vendor? Do they specialize in what you are specifically looking for? Is their specific design style exactly what you are looking for? Do you have a budget set aside for this?

“Research. Look into the cost of custom stationery before sending an inquiry email. Stationery can be customized but it’s good to have an idea of the average cost & factoring that into your budget before diving right in. For example, Letterpress is priced different than digitally printed invites. Keep this in mind when emailing a stationer for a quote”
Researching your wedding vendors beforehand will help you narrow down your potential wedding candidates to only 1-2 vendors and will save you hours of emailing back and forth. That is a win-win for everyone!
