Why You Should Add Cake Flowers to Your Wedding Budget
Staying true to your wedding budget is important, but it can be challenging. Especially when there are many factors are often forgotten about until the wedding day is practically here!
One of the most common areas for couples to overlook when it comes to their wedding floral budget is decorating the cake. If you’re assuming you don’t need cake flowers for your reception, here are some great reasons why you may want to reconsider:

1. Flowers can make a wedding style or theme look cohesive.
No matter what aesthetic you’re striving for, flowers are one of the few ways to complete the look and keep everything consistent. If you’re able to use the same (or similar!) florals in your bouquet, your table settings, your ceremony installation and your cake, the whole event comes together in a beautiful, cohesive way!

2. A cake can look too plain or empty without florals.
While a minimalist design can be pretty, sometimes a plain cake can appear too “flat” without at least a little extra flair. Instead of going for a cake without any flowers, talk with your wedding florist and cake designer to come up with a clean, elegant style that isn’t too busy but still incorporates an organic style.

Simply put, flowers can be the perfect option to complete a wedding cake look. Consider using them as your cake topper, or you can strategically place a couple florals on each layer to finish the design in a way that will have all of your guests taking pictures of the dessert table even before the cake cutting begins!
