Best White Flowers for Bouquets and Wedding Decor

Although some wedding colors may come and go, the classic white will always remain a popular choice for decor and floral arrangements.
And there’s really no reason to ask why, either. While it may have started as a color symbolizing purity, it’s become the color associated with weddings over the years and goes with nearly every style or theme out there these days.
Whether you’re planning a minimalist look and feel for your big day, or you simply want your flowers to remain a bright feature among your other color palette choices, here are some of our favorite white flowers to use for bouquets and wedding decor.

Moonstone Roses

For a traditional bloom to match a traditional color, there are few better options than the moonstone rose. It’s a beautiful medium-sized flower, with a creamy-white look and a romantic fragrance just perfect for your wedding day.

Although these also come in many other colors, the white anemone is one of my favorite go-tos for bridal bouquets. They are more of an ivory white, and have dark black centers that make them truly stand out from other commonly-used flowers.

For a garden look and soft texture similar in style to the rose but with a little spin, look no further than white ranunculuses. Use these blooms among other colorful ranunculus flowers or seeded eucalyptus for a simple yet elegant feel.

If you’re on the hunt for beautiful, yet underused flowers, take a look at lisianthus. They may be a bit different from the norm, but they’re long stems and layered blooms work extremely well in bouquets and centerpieces.

Sweet Pea

Getting married in late spring or summer? Sweet pea flowers add a soft fragrance to your floral arrangements and are another outside-of-the-box option many brides may not immediately think of.

Also known as the spider lily, nerine flowers are a striking choice for bouquets, since they are so unique. Consider using them as a textural or secondary bloom to add a bit more flair to your decor!

You may know this bloom by the name of the “silver dollar plant,” but you may not know it’s a fun option for bridal bouquets and other floral arrangements!

Flannel Flower

A smaller, more daisy-like bloom such as the flannel flower could be a wonderful alternative for a woodsy or garden wedding centerpiece.

Highly recommend Roots Floral Design - absolutely beautiful!

“Kaytee is an absolute GEM! She has so much passion and care for what she does, that you feel like she's a friend more than a vendor. She walks you through each step of the floral process with organization, examples, cost, and detail -- all things that make my detail-oriented heart happy. The end result far exceeded anything we could have hoped for or imagined. ALL. THE. GREENERY. Future brides, run, don't walk to Roots for your wedding. From start to finish, she took care of every single floral need to make our day positively beautiful.”

-Laura, Summer 2019 Wedding

"Kaytee became so much more than a vendor for us. The first time I met her I felt as though I met a long lost friend. She was the very first vendor I chose for the wedding (even before the venue) and she lived up to all my expectations and went above and beyond.  Each time I met with her I felt confident that she completely comprehended my wants and would fashion them into something that looks put together, yet natural. The day-of she silently transformed a bland rustic space into an enchanting, romantic barn. I couldn't have asked for anything more beautiful or unique."

-Grace, Spring 2019 Wedding

"Kaytee was so great to work with!!! I provided her with some floral inspirations from Pinterest and Instagram but gave her a lot of free rein coming up with the flowers for our wedding and she went above and beyond expectations. Our photographer was obsessed with all the bouquets and we got so many great pictures of them! She did such a good job making my smaller budget work to make high impact arrangements. She's also the sweetest person to be around!"
