The 2019 flower trends are all about how to save you money while still making your wedding day one of a kind. In today’s post we will be talking all about the flower trends that each newly engaged couple should go without to save the big bucks.

Smaller Wedding Parties

Ditch the large bridal parties. Why?

For awhile it was all the rage to have the matching robes and mimosas. Each bridesmaid had to have her makeup and hair done professionally. The morning of the wedding day was almost an entire event in itself. Don’t get me wrong, it is okay to treat your bridesmaids. But most brides were spending close to $1,000 on the “getting ready” scene when that money is much better spent elsewhere.

Not only that, but you then have to consider their bouquets. As much as I love bridesmaid bouquets, they aren’t an important floral element. Bridesmaids spend about 25 minutes total holding their bouquet. About 10 minutes walking down the aisle during the ceremony and another 15 for photos. On average, my couples spend between $1,000-$2,500 on their bridal party flowers. For how little they are used, it really isn’t worth it!

My suggestion? Smaller bridal parties…or no wedding party at all! We are seeing more and more couples go without the hassle and stress of a wedding party. There are so many other ways to express your gratitude towards your family and friends without spending money on short term, meaningless items.  If you must have a bridal party, here are my cost friendly suggestions:

-having greenery only bouquets

-ditching bouquets all together and doing floral crowns instead

-reusing the bridesmaid bouquets at the reception. Sign in tables, bar tops, bathrooms.; are just a few places.

No Sit Down Dinners

Most of your budget will be going towards catering and alcohol. In fact, brides are always so surprised to see just how much of their budget is eaten up by food. Sit down dinners are a nice way to thank your guests for attending your wedding, but there are other cost friendly options out there.

For larger guest count weddings, this is a huge money eater. The more tables you need to sit your guests, the more flower arrangements need to be ordered. By removing the sit down dinner all together, you allow your venue space to be opened up to other seating options.

Lounge style weddings are becoming more popular each year. Having casual but elegant seating is a great way to save money. You will spend less money on flower arrangements (since you will have fewer tables) and your dollar amount spent on each guest will shrink due to not having to order a fancy sit down meal. Lounge weddings allow your guests to have the ultimate guest experience. By providing them with the freedom to walk about and visit with other guests, enjoy the views of the venue, etc.; they will have a lot more fun at your wedding while you get see more dollar bills in your pocket. Forget the Aisle Decor

For the exact same reasons as the smaller wedding parties. Aisle decor arrangements just don’t get used for that long! If you must have them, I would suggest reusing them in a way that can be repurposed at the reception. To see my options for reusing aisle decor, click here!

“Kaytee is an absolute GEM! She has so much passion and care for what she does, that you feel like she's a friend more than a vendor. She walks you through each step of the floral process with organization, examples, cost, and detail -- all things that make my detail-oriented heart happy. The end result far exceeded anything we could have hoped for or imagined. ALL. THE. GREENERY. Future brides, run, don't walk to Roots for your wedding. From start to finish, she took care of every single floral need to make our day positively beautiful.”

FROM START TO FINISH, SHE TOOK CARE OF EVERY SINGLE FLORAL NEED.

"Kaytee became so much more than a vendor for us. The first time I met her I felt as though I met a long lost friend. She was the very first vendor I chose for the wedding (even before the venue) and she lived up to all my expectations and went above and beyond.  Each time I met with her I felt confident that she completely comprehended my wants and would fashion them into something that looks put together, yet natural. The day-of she silently transformed a bland rustic space into an enchanting, romantic barn. I couldn't have asked for anything more beautiful or unique."

THE FIRST TIME I MET HER I FELT AS THOUGH  I MET A LONG LOST FRIEND.

"Kaytee was so great to work with!!! I provided her with some floral inspirations from Pinterest and Instagram but gave her a lot of free rein coming up with the flowers for our wedding and she went above and beyond expectations. Our photographer was obsessed with all the bouquets and we got so many great pictures of them! She did such a good job making my smaller budget work to make high impact arrangements. She's also the sweetest person to be around!"
