Wedding Tips | Your DIY Wedding May Not Be Ideal
For brides on a budget, a DIY wedding seems like the only option. While staying up late for months on end to save a few bucks may in hindsight seem like a great idea 😉 no one can deny that time equals money. Your time as working, creative, boss babe, mother, sister, friend is valuable! Whatever your current title in life may be, we can all agree that how we spend our time will determine our mental health and well being.
Weddings can be stressful. It is the most important day of your life and at times, putting all the pieces together may be overwhelming. While each bride wants her wedding day to be picture perfect, DIY to save money may not be the best route to go.
To give us some more insight into explaining why the DIY wedding trend is slowly fading, I’ve asked the ladies over at Social Design and Events to explain.
“DIY decor is less expensive than hiring a designer or buying / renting, right? Money isn’t the only valuable resource you invest in your wedding. When planning your wedding, choose what you spend time towards wisely! If you’re an avid crafter who loves the idea of investing hours into creating the perfect favors for your 200 guests, do it! If crafts really aren’t your thing or you don’t know where you’re going to find the time, hire an expert and get your life back. You’re welcome.”
Hiring a wedding planner instead of trying to do your DIY wedding yourself will allow you to enjoy your engagement period! Finding your perfect venue, picking out your dress, finding your wedding colors are all part of the wedding planning experience that is fun! Leave the tedious tasks to the professionals who actually enjoy doing it.
